Security forces doing well in Karachi, says Nisar
Says DG ISI will give briefing over terrorism to the participants of All Parties Conference.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali says Rangers have conducted 64 targeted raids in three days and have arrested miscreants, including target killers and extortionists.
Addressing a press conference Nisar said 70 weapons of different categories have been also recovered.
He said the arrested criminals had revealed their political affiliations but it is a healthy sign that no political party had lodged protest against their arrests.
“All political parties have welcomed the operation in Karachi,” he said.
He said 20 years old problems cannot be solved overnight and media and public should show patience.
About the All Parties Conference he said it would start at 11am with PM in the chair in which leadership of all political parties having representation in the parliament will participate.
“DG ISI will give briefing to the participants of the conference,” he said.
He urged the nation to pray for the success of APC, adding a unanimous resolution will be adopted by APC.
Nisar rejected the reports that terrorists had escaped abroad after the announcement of operation.
The interior minister urged media to highlight the good work being done by the police and security agencies, instead of indulging in just indulging in fault-finding.
