NAB pressured ECP for filing case against Zardari, BB: Kanwar
Former Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Kanwar Dilshad has claimed that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had pressurized him in November 2005 to file case against Asif Ali Zardari and Benazir Bhutto for concealing details of their assets, reported Dunya News on Sunday.Talking to Dunya News, Kanwar Dilshad revealed that two officials of NAB provided him with some documents saying that these are the actual details of Asif Zardari and Benazir Bhuttos assets. They claimed that the details submitted to ECP by both of them contradict these documents. Kanwar Dilshad told that NAB officials had urged him to file cases against them. He said ECP doesnt have the authority to file case against any party or person. When I was pressurized a lot, I consulted then Chairman NAB Lt. General Shahid Aziz and he agreed with me abolished pressure, Kanwar added.
