Teachers in Karachi protest against nonpayment of salaries
Teachers of MC schools in Karachi have protested against delay in payment of their salaries.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Teachers of MC schools protested against nonpayment of their salaries for last three months.
A large number of female teachers were also among the protesters who said that the education department had intentionally turned a blind eye to the issue of their salaries ahead of holy month of Ramadan.
The female teachers said that they were insulted and kicked out when they went to the offices of authorities concerned.
They complained that the authorities had no respect for teachers and women.
The protest continued for one and half an hour while traffic jammed at different roads.
The protesters dispersed after the assurance of some officers of the education department that their salaries would be paid before Ramadan.
