Process of negotiations will continue: Zardari

President Asif Ali Zardari Saturday said that process of negotiations will continue till the issues are amicably resolved. The President also urged the Baloch leaders to come forward and help resolve the issues as the problems were too big. He said that plans had been prepared for building four dams in Balochistan, adding, the state owned command irrigation lands under these dams will be distributed free of cost among poor women of the area. The President asked Dr. Babar Awan to hold a meeting with Baloch leaders on the question of construction of mega projects. The elders congratulated the President for taking concrete steps to resolve the issues of Balochistan through Balochistan Empowerment Package, amnesty to political leaders and the 7th National Finance Commission (NFC) Award. They said that as a democratically elected leader and President, they will continue to support President Zardari and the democratic government. They said they will not tolerate any conspiracy against the President and the democratic dispensation and will resist any attempt by anyone to destabilize the system. The President also mentioned the salient features of Balochistan Empowerment Package and said that the doors ofnegotiations for reconciliation in the province were open for all within the framework of the federation.On the other side US Ambassador Anne W Patterson called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr here on Saturday.They discussed issues concerning bilateral relations, says a press release issued here by Aiwan-e-Sadr.
