Caretaker govt introduces mini budget, president approves summary
Caretaker government has decided to end reserve rating and enhance the ratio of sale tax.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News):-The interim government has to take the step of introducing mini budget as it apparently could not hit the target of tax collection.
The ratio of sales tax has been enhanced by one percent. Moreover, federal excise duty on cigarette also has been increased.
In this way, the facility of reserve rating has come to an end; President Asif Ali Zardari has put his signature on the summary.
It is worth mentioning that new budget would be applicable for three months after approval of the parliament.
