Army to be deployed in sensitive areas
Interior Minister Malik Habib says army will be deployed with consent of provincial govts.
ISLAMABAD (Online) - Interior Minister Malik Muhammad Habib has said military will be deployed in very sensitive areas with the consent of provincial governments.
In an interview on Monday‚ he said that the caretaker government is determined to deal with the challenges utilizing all available resources.
He said that foolproof security arrangements will be made to ensure free‚ fair and transparent general elections.
Malik Habib said he visited border areas in Balochistan and took measures to strengthen FC there. He said he met political parties and listened to their fears and directed law enforcement agencies for taking measures accordingly.
He said he directed the law enforcement agencies to take action against any attempt to sabotage election process.
