LG polls survey report released, more turnout observed in rural than urban areas
Survey report of general elections 2013 will be released after Eid: ECP Secretary
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday has released a survey report regarding recently held local body elections which revealed more turnout in rural and less in urban areas, reported Dunya News.
Educated residents of urban areas seemed least interested in local body elections while a total amount of Rs 6 billion and 250 million were spent on the elections.
Secretary ECP said that the whole electrocal process required extra participation of educated people than that of uneducated locals of urban areas. Survey report of general elections 2013 will be released after Eid, he added.
