Musharraf escape: Additional interior secretary summoned

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has taken notice over the delay in action against Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad Binyamin Khan in Musharraf escape case.
The court has directed the additional interior secretary to appear in person tomorrow.
The IHC Judge, Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, resumed hearing of Musharraf escape case on Monday.
Joint secretary of interior ministry Khushdil Khan apprised the court that the additional charge of the post was taken back from him after he failed to sign the summary against IG Islamabad.
The deputy attorney general Tariq Jahangiri also stated the same reason for not taking action against the IG, adding that DG National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) is trying to scandalize the matter.
The court summoned the additional interior secretary and adjourned the hearing till Tuesday.
