Degrees of Shekih Waqas, Yasir Raza found fake
HEC states that A-level certificate of Sheikh Waqas Akram and FA degree of MPA Yasir Raza are fake.
ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission in a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan has stated that the A-Level certificate of former Federal Minister Sheikh Waqas Akram and FA degree of former Punjab Assembly Member Yasir Raza are fake.
On the basis of this the Bachelors of Arts (BA) degrees of Seigkh Waqas Akram and Yasir Raza have been canceled.
The HEC had to complete the verification of degrees of 189 former parliamentarians by April 5.
According to details sent by the HEC to the Election Commission, the degrees of 80 former parliamentarians were authentic.
Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, Khursheed Shah, Jawed Hashmi, Afrasiab Khattak, Sardar Jamal Laghari, Amir Muqam, Ch. Naseer Bhutta, Mehreen Anwar Raja, Ghulam fareed Kathia, Ghulam Bibi Bharwana, Samsam Bukhari, Bushra Gohar, Tariq Anees, Tahira Aurangzeb, Samina Khalid Ghurki, Qasim Zia, sardar Saif Khosa are some of the former parliamentarians whose degrees have been declared authentic.
