Lyari operation: Locals protest against killing of citizen

KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least one person was shot dead while a Rangers personnel was injured during a targeted operation in Lyari on Saturday.
According to details, a person, identified as Aqeel Baloch, was killed during an exchange of fire between Rangers personnel and criminals. Meanwhile, two injured criminals managed to escape.
Tense situation prevailed in the area as residents protested against the killing of an innocent citizen. The locals burnt tires and blocked the main road.
The operation was carried out on a tip-off about the presence of suspects in the early hours of the morning.
