Peshawar blast death toll reaches 12
The suicide explosion took place near a seucirty check post in Saddar area.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - At least twelve people were killed and several others injured when a suicide bomber targeted Frontier Constabulary (FC) convoy near a security check post in Saddar area of Peshawar on Friday.
According to Dunya News, the suicide attacker tried to target FC commandant Majeed Marwat`s vehicle as it crossed Fakhr-e-Alam road.
FC commandant escaped unhurt while the dead included three security personnel and three civilians. Two of the civilians were women. Over 15 people were wounded.
The injured have been shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital for treatment, rescue official told.
Security forces arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area.
No group has claimed responsibility of the incident.
