Contempt case: NAB chief files plea against indictment
NAB Chief's counsel submitted the appeal in Supreme Court today.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Admiral (retd) Fasih Bukhari on Friday filed an intra-court appeal in the Supreme Court against his indictment in contempt of court case.
The plea was filed through NAB Chief’s counsel Latif Khosa.
On March 20, the Supreme Court decided to charge NAB chief in a contempt of court case against him for writing a strongly worded letter to the president.
In his letter written to President Asif Ali Zardari on January 27, Bokhari said that the apex court proceedings were putting undue pressure on NAB investigators by trying to influence investigations in different corruption cases.
