Pakistan welcomes foreign observers in general elections
Foreign Office says that the foreign observers will have to follow rules and regulations.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Foreign diplomats were informed that the government was committed to facilitating free‚ fair and transparent election.
The assurance was given at a briefing organised by the Foreign Ministry in Islamabad on Tuesday regarding foreign election observers.
The briefing was given by the senior representatives of the Election Commission‚ Ministries of Foreign Affairs‚ Interior and Information and Broadcasting.
Diplomats were told that Pakistan would welcome foreign election observers who want to observe the general election‚ after completion of due formalities.
Diplomats were assured that the government will take all steps within its means to facilitate the visiting foreign election observers during their stay in Pakistan.
