Sheikh Rashid to contest from Multan
Awami Muslim League chief says seat adjustment with the PTI is possible in forthcoming elections.
MULTAN (Dunya News):- Popular and outspoken politician Sheikh Rashid has announced to contest elections from Multan.
While speaking at a news conference on Monday in Multan Press Club, he said that he is interested in NA 148, 149 and 150; the final decision would be taken after Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Javed Hashmi finalized their specific constituencies.
He said that scrutiny of nomination papers under Article 62 is just a joke with the Constitution as it was only Chief Justice of Pakistan who had played the role of an opposition during last five years.
Sheikh Rashid said that caretaker prime minister is likely to be announced tomorrow.
He predicted that if the Election Commission selects the name of caretaker prime minister, different powers would affect the decision which would not be in the favour of big parties.
He said that both Aslam Zaid and Dr Ishrat are acceptable to him.
