Missing prisoners to be tried with law: CJP

Chief Justice says that missing prisoners from Adiala jail to be tried in accordance with law.

 

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News):-Three-member bench of the Supreme court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is conducting hearing of the missing prisoners from Adiala Jail.

 

In the very beginning of the hearing, lawyer on the part of secret agencies Raja Irshad presented some documents in the court regarding attack on Hamza Camp.


Reviewing the papers, the Supreme Court said, “So many days have gone and you are now presenting these documents in the court.”

 

Chief Justice made it clear that the court would take decision in accordance with true spirit of law in this regard.

 

Raja Irshad requested the court for two weeks in order to settle the case in accordance with FCR. At this, the Chief Justice said how it is possible as you are pleading on the part of secret agencies.

 

He said that the decision regarding detaining the prisoners in concentration camp is being withdrawn; now they would be tried under the FCR law.

 

Advocate Raja Irshad also requested to the court that the reply submitted by the secret agencies should be kept in secrecy.
