Karachi unrest: SC summons Zardari's foster brother Tappi
The petitioner said Owais Tappi and Yar Muhammad Bozdar were involved in millions of corruption.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Hearing the Karachi law and order implementation case, the Supreme Court (SC) has issued a notice to President Asif Ali Zardari’s foster brother Owais Muzaffar Tappi.
A five-member larger bench of apex court, headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, heard the case at Supreme Court Karachi registry on Thursday.
During the course of proceedings, the petitioner Mahmoud Akhtar Naqvi apprised the court that the board of revenue was under the influence of Muzaffar Tappi.
Justice Sarmad Jalal Usmani asked who this Tappi was, adding that everyone talks about him.
He asked the senior member of board of revenue Shah Shamoun if he knew Tappi.
On which the official replied that he does not any such person.
The petitioner further added that Owais Tappi and Yar Muhammad Bozdar were involved in millions of rupees corruption.
