SC dismisses ECP's petition against Karachi de-limitation
The court withdrew show-cause notice against Sindh IG.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Supreme Court has dismissed the review petition of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) over the delimitation of new constituencies in Karachi.
A five-member larger bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, heard the Karachi law and order case at Supreme Court’s Karachi registry on Wednesday.
Rejecting ECP’s petition, the bench remarked that ECP was bound to comply with orders of the apex court, adding that census had nothing to do with the delimitation.
Meanwhile, the court withdrew show-cause notice against Sindh IG after he submitted written apology over the matter.
