No party wants to become guarantor for PPP govt: Nisar
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan says can give guarantee of PPP government for talks with Taliban.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that no one can give guarantee of PPP government for talks with the Taliban.
Talking to newsmen on the occasion of All Parties Conference, which was held on Thursday under the auspices of Awami National Party (ANP), Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that ANP took good initiative by collecting all major political parties of the country on one platform to consider the ways and means to combat terrorism.
He said that all the political and religious parties of the country should work sincerely for establishment of peace in the country.
It is very imperative that they may unite on one point agenda. He said that Taliban have shown some positive development by offering for peace talks, now it is the need of the hour that the mater may be taken seriously.
“If the people sitting in the ruling alliance are not giving the guarantee of the PPP government, then how can give assurance about it”, he added.
Nisar said that PML-N is ready to talk every party at anywhere, but these talks should be within the circumference of the conmstitution. He said that his party has not any condition for the talks with Taliban. If any party including JUI-F would negotiate with Taliban, PML-N would extend its full support to it.
He said that the declaration of APC should be implemented. He said although Pervez Musharraf is the responsible for the worsening law and order situation but the present government did not take any solid measures during five years.
