Preparations for Gilgit-Baltistan elections complete: EC

Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Election Commissioner Rahim Nawaz says that all the preparations have been completed for elections scheduled to be held on November 12, reported Dunya News. Some 770,286 voters will use their right of vote in the elections. Talking to media in Gilgit Election Commissioner said that 256 contestants were contesting election for 24 seats. Number of independent contestants is 161. Total 710 polling stations have been established and 153 of them are declared sensitive ones. Election Commissioner told that all necessary equipment for polling had been provided to polling staff.
