241 missing persons traced, 175 still missing: Interior Ministry

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, hearing the case of missing persons for the first time after his reinstatement, said that relatives of missing persons were moving from pillar to post but nobody paid heed to their words. On the other hand, acting on the order of the Supreme Court, Interior Ministry has submitted the report on missing persons in which it is revealed that 241 missing persons have been tracked down while 175 others are still not found. The Supreme Court remarked that Masood Janjua should be recovered immediately. IG Islamabad said that they are trying to shut the camp of relatives of missing persons. While the Chief Justice said that issue of missing persons should be addressed instead of closing the camp. The Supreme Court directed the secretary of Interior Ministry to strive hard to found the missing persons. Interior Ministry said that information of missing persons is being obtained with the help of NADRA.
