Long march likely to be hit by rain: Met Office

According to Met office, the cold spell is expected to further intensify in the capital.

 

ISLAMABAD: With no sign of Tahir-ul-Qadri’s long march ending soon, Meteorological Department on Wednesday forecasted showers in the federal capital and different cities of Punjab for next 24 hours; the fresh spell is expected to continue till Friday.

 

According to Met office, the cold spell is expected to further intensify in Islamabad,a venue for the grand sit-in protest.

 

The spell of showers is likely to last for three days in Islamabad. The rainfall is expected to lash different cities of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and northern Balochistan.

 

The Met office forecast the snowfall on mountains of Gulliyat, Hazara, Malakand, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan. Also, the light downpours are expected to lash some areas in Gilgit-Baltistan and coastal areas of Sindh and Makran for next 24 hours.
