Shahzeb case: Witnesses identify the accused in court
Five people were nominated in the FIR of the case.
KARACHI: The witnesses identified three suspects Siraj Talpur, his brother Sajjad Talpur, and Ghulam Murtaza Lashari in the courtroom on Wednesday in the Shahzeb Khan murder case, Dunya News reported.
The witnesses in their statements said that Shahzeb got injured when Siraj opened fire at his car at the time.
The victim was still alive when Sajjad urged Siraj to fire more rounds, they said, adding that Siraj began to fire again.
Moreover, the witnesses confirmed that Lashari had also provoked Siraj to fire shots at the victim.
Shahzeb, 20, was shot dead near his home in Defence area on December 25, 2012.
The incdent took place reportedly after Shahzeb Khan, son DSP Aurangzaib, had an altercation with suspect Siraj Talpur, whose servant had allegedly teased the victim’s sister.
On the other hand, the Lahore High Court issued one-day protective bail to Sikandar Jatoi, father of the prime accused Shahrukh Jatoi.
Sikandar Jatoi requested the court that he wants to appear before the Supreme Court tomorrow but police won’t be able to provide him security.
