Gilani assures free, fair general polls
Yousaf Raza Gilani says that elections would be candid and clear.
Lahore:- Former Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has assured that forthcoming elections would be transparently held in accordance with the constitution and law.
He said this while having a meeting with the governor of Punjab Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood at Governor House in Lahore on Sunday.
Both of them also discussed current political situation particularly in Punjab.
Gilani added that the PPP led government is going to complete its tenure of five years; any conspiracy hatched against democracy would be unbearable.
Governor Punjab while expressing notions said that political powers have strengthened democracy while showing their maturity farsightedness.
He stressed that the political parties should focus their full attention to resolve the issues faced by the common man.
