The Information Minister says nobody would be allowed to cross constitutional limits.

 

LAHORE:-Talking to media after cutting the cake of birth anniversary of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto‚ the Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said democracy is flourishing in Pakistan and there is no room for long marches against it.
He said that nothing will permitted to happen which is out of the ambit of constitutional limits.


“The parliament represents the entire nation and if Dr. Tahirul Qadri or anyone has any objection on the electoral process, he must give suggestion to the Election Commission”, said the minister.


He said that PPP restored democracy in the country and change will come in the country only through the representatives of the people.


He said that PPP confronted four dictators and defeated them.


The minister said that the procedure to form a caretaker government has been enunciated in the constitution. Both the leaders of the House and the Opposition will unanimously decide the interim set up. If they would not agree, the issue will be taken up in the parliamentary committee. If the committee doesn't not agree, the issue would be tackled by Election Commission.


He said that tenure of present Assembly will expire on 16th of March and elections will be held within sixty days afterwards.

 

To a question He said that Dr. Tahirul Qadri should take part in the political process and should present his philosophy in front of people so that they decide.


He removed the impression that Mehmood Khan Achakzai met with Prime Minister for interim setup.
