Cold snap grips most parts of the country

Minimum temperature recorded in Lahore was recorded 1�C on Saturday morning.
ISLSMABAD: Extreme cold snap has engulfed parts of the country as the temperature dropped further today (Saturday), according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Foggy conditions will continue over plains of Punjab‚ Peshawar and Sukkur Division.
According to the Met Office, cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, light rain with snowfall may occur in the Malakand division and Gilgit Baltistan during next twelve hours.
Severe cold wave will continue to prevail over the northern parts of Balochistan, Khyber-Pukhtunkwa and Gilgit Baltistan.
Lowest temperature recorded in Skardu was -13°C, Astore -12°C, Quetta and Kalam -11°C, Hunza & Parachinar -10°C, Katat -09°C, Gupis & Gilgit -08°C, Dalbandin, Dir and Malamjabba -06°C, Rawalakot -05°C, Drosh & Bunji -04°C, Sibbi, Chitral and Murre -03°C.
