Development in Peshawar attack investigation reveals that terrorists were armed with modern weapons.
PESHAWAR: According to the sources, the progress in the investigation into Peshawar airport revealed that the terrorists were carrying imported suicide vests and commando bags. The jackets had special pockets to keep water.
The sources further disclosed that the bags were full of modern weapons, dates, pain killers and injections.
The baggage recovered after the killing of terrorists showed that they attacked with the planning of putting the airport under siege for a long time, the sources added.
The sources further said that three foreign experts would be consulted to resolve mystery of tattoo on terrorists’ bodies.
The sources disclosed that the code name of one of the terrorists was Kamran whereas they were nine in number whose DNA report would be issued on Wednesday.
It is worth mentioning here that the terrorists had launched a suicide bomb and rocket attack on the Bacha Khan Airport last Saturday.
Five terrorists were killed on the spot while four of their co-accomplices, who had fled from the scene, were killed during a joint army and police operation on Sunday.
