Pakistan, India launch new visa policy

The new visa regime between Pakistan and India was launched at a ceremony in New Delhi on Friday.
NEW DELHI: Interior Minister Rehman Malik and his Indian counterpart‚ Sushil Kumar also attended the ceremony and pushed the button to launch the facility.
Under the new regime‚ citizens of both the countries will be able to get visa for five cities of the other country.
The process for issuing the visa will also be simplified under the new system.
Citizens under the age of twelve‚ elderly people‚ and big investors will be absolved from police clearance.
Earlier‚ talking to newsmen upon his arrival in New Delhi‚ Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Pakistan has always condemned terrorism as it is a victim of the menace.
He said non-state actors do not want peace and friendship between Pakistan and India. The dialog process must continue between the two countries to foil the designs of destructive elements.
