Death toll in Karachi violence rises to 23

At least 23 people including son of IB officer were killed in different firing incidents in Karachi.
According to the police, Asad Raza, son of the slain IB official Qamar Raza was succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. A man, identified as Ajmal Khan, was gunned down in a firing incident in Metroville area of the city. Meanwhile a bullet-riddle body of a man was found in Sarafa Bazar of Meetha Dar.
Some armed attackers opened indiscriminate fire at persons sitting in the tea stall and fled away after killing seven innocents and hurting many others.
Amongst deceased firing victims were included Mohibullah, Shams-ur-Rehman, Abdul Ghaffar, Khalid, Adnan, Abdul Khaliq and tea stall worker, Imran. Police immediately rushed to the firing site and moved all dead bodies and injured to Jinnah Hospital.
A private bank’s IT Manger, Taufiq Jan, was shot dead in his car by unidentified armed attackers near Haroon Shopping Center in Buffer Zone area
One person was gunned down near Al-Asif Square in Sohrab Goth area and two more were targeted near Saifi College in North Nazimabad. One firing victim was identified as Azam.
A religious party’s local office holder, Muhammad Irfan, was shot dead by the target killers near Ziauddin Hospital, in North Nazimabad and another religious political party activist, Akhtar Hussain, was gunned down in Jumma Goth while another unidentified person was killed in Korangi No-6.
