Govt formed after 1990 polls, was unconstitutional: Khosa
Khosa said that the government formed after 1990 elections was unlawful and unconstitutional.
Talking to the media, Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa said that the federal government was bound to abide by Supreme Court orders, issued in Asghar Ali Khan case regarding distribution of funds by military officers.Khosa said that all accused in the case could be tried for treason under Army Act or Article 6 of the Constitution, subjected to a recommendation by the law ministry.The governor went on saying that “polluting the entire election process is violation of the Constitution and tantamount to treason.” He said steps of the government formed after 1990 elections were unlawful and unconstitutional which needed parliament’s endorsement.
