Hakimullah Mehsuds alive, meets reporters

Banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)s new Chief Hakimullah Mehsud met with reporters of tribal areas on Monday ending the speculations about his death, reported Dunya News. Talking to reporters in Srarogha, Hakimullah said that he would strike back at the US for the increasing number of drone attacks in the Waziristan and avenge the killing of Baitullah Mehsud. Mehsud accused Pakistan of doing the bidding of the West and pledged to bring Islamic rule to the country. US Intelligence Officials claimed on October 3 that Hakimullah Mehsud had been killed in clash with his opposite group. Earlier, Interior Minister Rehman Malik had also claimed that Hakimullah was dead in Taliban infighting.
