Election process to start after assemblies complete tenure

Firdous Ashiq Awan has said the election process will start as the assembly completes its tenure.

Awan has said that the election process would resume, when the assembly would complete its period.Talking to media outside the Supreme Court on Tuesday, Federal Minister for Regulations and Services Firdous Ashiq said that the Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has taken the decision according to the Constitution and has chosen a balanced position to resolve the issue.The minister said that the country cannot afford any confrontation and the government and its allies would prepare for the elections after the completion of tenure.She said that the government would act according to the Constitution to implement the order of the Supreme Court to resolve all unclear issues.Responding to a question, Firduos said that the former PM Yousaf Raza Gilani had made a decision according to the law and the present PM would also make a decision according to the constitution.
