The commuters are facing great difficulties as the departure of all trains scheduled from Karachi Cantt station has been delayed after the collision of two trains near Kotri. Whereas the relief train sent to the Kotri has also been derailed .The railway administration hoped that the track would be restored in next 24 hours. The passengers complained that neither the railway high ups provide any intimation about the accident nor the former were being given the information about the delay of schedule. On the other hand, Cantt Station Manager Bashir Ahmad Abbasi told that higher authorities were not giving any information so they could not tell anything to the public. Earlier, two trains collided near Kotri railway station at Jamshoro injuring five people including driver and fireman, Dunya News reported Thursday. Eight bogies overturned and thousands of ton oil spilled out of a cargo train. Rangers cordoned off the entire area after the accident. Sources disclosed that cargo train going to Karachi from Lahore rammed into another train on the same railway track. Railway traffic was blocked after the accident. A bogie caught fire which was controlled by the fire brigade. Rangers took the control of the area to avoid any untoward incident and removed unconcerned people from the spot. In Jamshoro the efforts are being done to carry the bogies. A rescue train has been sent to the spot for helping in relief activities.
