Presidential ordinance protects Gilani's actions

A presidential ordinance to constitutionally protect Gilani's post-conviction decisions issued.

President Zardari issued an ordinance to give constitutional protection to the decisions made by ex-PM Gilani from 26th April to 19th June.In the presidential ordinance, it is stated that all the steps and orders issued by ex-PM Gilani, advices given to president, appointments made in different departments, statutory notification orders (SROs) and parliamentary matters should be considered correct and lawful.All steps that were taken by ex-PM Gilani from April 26 to June 19 cannot be challenged under the ordinance.No writ can also be filed in any court against the ordinance.It is important to mention that ex-PM Gilani was declared ineligible from april 26 by a three-member bench on June 19.
