Arsalans lawyer submits written reply in SC

Advocate Sardar Ishaq submits written reply over allegations leveled against his client Dr Arsalan.

Talking to Dunya News, Sardar IShaq Dar, counsel of Arsalan, said both the parties will have to share their replies submitted in Supreme Court under the orders of the court.In the written reply, it is stated that all allegations against Arsalan are false and baseless. Television progammes and statements hold no importance and proceedings can only be held on proofs and evidences in courts.It also stated that the issue has been made up to malign Dr Arsalan Iftikhar. Earlier, Malik Riaz’ counsel submitted application to form larger bench for hearing of Arsalan graft case.The application stated that the issue is very sensitive and significant for which a two-member bench is unsatisfactory. Therefore, a larger bench should be formed for the hearing of case against Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry’s son.It is important to mention that Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry took suo motu notice on media reports regarding his son, Arsalan Chaudhry, who allegedly received over Rs 400 million from Bahria Town CEO Malik Riaz, against whom several cases were pending in the apex court.
