KARACHI (Dunya News) – A massive plaza fire which left everyone heartbroken is still raging, with no sign for early dousing.

More than eight hours have passed since the eruption of the blaze, but it seems less likelihood that the firefighters will soon announce that they have managed to put up the fire.

Talking to the media, traders have shown concern over insufficient resources to deal with such huge fire, which took precious lives of innocent people.

President of Gul Plaza Traders Association Tanveer Qasim, while talking to Dunya News, expressed his grief over the loss of life due to the fire.

‘No one cares about property, who will compensate for the loss of life? There are fears that many people are trapped inside the building. We are also unable to contact our 12 people,” he said.

He said billions of rupees have been lost due to the fire, adding, ‘We do not care about the property, but who will compensate for the loss of life?’
Tanveer Qasim was overwhelmed while expressing his sorrow over the loss of people.

It should be noted that the fire that broke out in Gul Plaza on MA Jinnah Road in Karachi has not yet been brought under control.

Five people have been confirmed dead in the incident, while more than 20 people are injured and several are trapped inside the building.
