Wana Airport inaugurated in South Waziristan near the Afghan border.

Corps Commander Peshawar Lt Gen Khalid Rabbani on Monday inaugurated the Wana Airport during his visit to South Waziristan.“The opening of the Wana Airport would go a long way in generating and increasing the pace of economic activities in the area affected by terrorism and militancy,” Lt Gen Rabbani spoke on the occasion.He also appreciated the efforts and technical expertise of the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) for making the airport functional in a limited time for both commercial and military purposes.
