Agent Kamran Butt taking bribes in allocation of residences, accuses Saudi citizen.

A Saudi citizen has exposed the corruption in Hajj operation 2012 in a letter to the parliamentary body on religious affairs.According to the contents of the letter, corruption has been observed in the occupation of buildings hired for the accommodation of pilgrims. It says that agent of Pakistan’s Haj Mission Kamran Butt is taking bribes in this regard.A meeting of Standing Committee on Religious Affairs headed by Maulana Qasim held in Islamabad was told that a Saudi citizen has informed about the corruption in a letter to the chairman of the committee.According to the letter corrupt practices were been observed in the occupation of buildings hired for the accommodation of pilgrims. It says that agent of Pakistan’s Haj Mission Kamran Butt is taking bribes in this connection.Taking notice of the allegations, the committee has sought reply from Director Hajj, while Secretary of Religious Affairs has been directed to probe the matter.Secretary Religious Affairs has directed Hajj Mission agent Kamran Butt to suspend his work. He informed that 61,000 applications have been submitted so far through the Government Hajj Scheme.
