Patients suffer as YDA protests enter 3rd day

Young Doctors Association (YDA) strike against transfers has entered its 3rd consecutive day.

Outdoor patient departments (OPDs) remained closed on the call of Young Doctors Association (YDA) following the protest against the transfer of 45 postgraduate trainee doctors (PGRs) and medical officers (MOs)of services hospital.Calling the the strike unreasonable, health adviser to Chief Minister, Salman Rafique said government has the right to make appointments and transfers.Due to the ongoing clash between the YDA and government, the patients continue to suffer in most of the hospitals. They are either compelled to go home back without treatment or bear the expenses of private hospital.
