Life paralyses in Karachi as MQM observes day of mourning

More than 70 people including the workers of political parties have been arrested in Karachi as the death toll rises to 13.The transporters have decided to stay off the road as MQM observes day of mourning in Karachi.In a press statement, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has demanded to arrest all those involved in the recent spate of violence in Karachi. He said negative elements are trying to disturb the peace of the city.Calling the situation very alarming, Mqm leader Farooq Sattar regretted that people were being abducted for ransom in Karachi while Wasi Jalil stated that law enforcement agencies have failed to restore peace in the city of lights. He blamed Awami National party (ANP) and People’s Peace Committee for the unrest in Karachi.The situation in Karachi has been worsened after the murder of MQM sector member Mansoor Mukhtar and his brother in PIB colony area on Tuesday.
