MIC lacks funds for needy patients

Multan Institute of Cardiology stopped providing service to the poor due to lack of funds.

The number of registered patients has become 6500.Non-availability of funds has and shortage doctors and paramedics have multiplied the crisis.Last year, about Rs 220 million had been allocated for Multan Institute of Cardiology; however, this year this amount has been decreased by Rs 100 million.Due to lack of funds, medicines have become short. Only private patients are being operated which costs about half a million.
