Like many previous years, Pakistan Day Parade could not be held this year as well

The reasons cited for not holding parade have been internal security and more than 100,000 troops deployed in tribal areas fighting militants. During the current government, not ever once was this parade held. During General Pervez Musharraf’s regime, this parade had been cancelled many a time.
