President Zardari on Tuesday congratulated Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt.

The President greeted him on assuming his new responsibilities and expressed the hope that Pakistan Air Force would greatly benefit from his capabilities and leadership qualities.The President was talking to Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.Newly appointed Chief of the Air Staff also called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at the PM House on Tuesday.The Prime Minister extended his best wishes to Air Chief and said that his elevation as Chief of the Air Staff manifested a smooth transition based on merit.The Prime Minister expressed confidence that Pakistan Air Force would defend the frontiers of the country in the best manner under his command.
