Karachi mayor refutes rumours of defects in new Hub canal project
He further stated projects of Pakistan Peoples Party are being targeted
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab has stated that reports of flaws or damage in the construction of the new Hub Canal are baseless.
In a statement, Murtaza Wahab said that rumours regarding the Hub Canal were spread without any proof and authentication. The new 100 MGD Hub Canal will be inaugurated on August 13, and certain elements are unhappy with the developmental projects.
He further stated that projects completed under the leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party are being targeted. Propaganda against progress cannot stop us from serving the public.
The mayor added that they are dedicated to resolving the city’s problems and urged the public not to pay attention to fake news, as the Hub Canal project is complete and safe.
