LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistani actress Asma Abbas has revealed details about her father Ahmad Bashir’s two marriages, sharing little-known aspects of his personal life during a recent podcast appearance.

During the interview, the actress said her father’s first marriage was arranged by his parents to a cousin. However, Ahmad Bashir was reportedly unwilling to marry her and went to stay at a friend’s house after the wedding.

According to Asma Abbas, her father’s friend helped him with the divorce process involving his first wife. Ahmad Bashir later married her mother, who was also a relative, making her his second wife.

The actress said her father deeply loved her mother and could not bear to live without her.

Recalling an incident after the birth of their first child, Adeeba Neelam Bashir, Asma said her mother went to her parents’ home following the delivery.

Ahmad Bashir reportedly insisted that his wife return immediately, but she refused to come back at once. Asma said her father then threatened her mother with divorce to frighten her and even sent her a fake divorce notice.

According to the actress, her mother became frightened by the threat and returned home immediately, only to discover that the divorce notice was fake.
