LAHORE (Dunya News) – Veteran Pakistani actor Atiqa Odho became emotional while remembering late film director Iqbal Kashmiri, recalling their time working together and paying tribute to his dedication to filmmaking.

Speaking during a recent television programme, Atiqa reflected on her acting career, classic films and memorable experiences from Pakistan's entertainment industry.

The actor became emotional after a song from one of her films, directed by the late Iqbal Kashmiri, was played during the programme. She said such songs always remind her of the late filmmaker.

Atiqa said she worked with Iqbal Kashmiri in films including Jo Dar Gaya Woh Mar Gaya and Mummy. Although Mummy did not perform well commercially, she said it remains one of her most memorable projects because of the experiences she shared during its production.

She recalled often joking with the director on set because she was not confident in dancing. According to Atiqa, Iqbal Kashmiri loved acting and filmmaking so deeply that he would personally demonstrate dance steps to help her learn with ease.

The veteran actor added that thinking about Iqbal Kashmiri's passing still saddens her. She praised his extraordinary passion for his work and said the film and television industry today places greater emphasis on financial gains than on dedication to the craft.
