(Web Desk) - Indian actor Rajpal Yadav, who was convicted in multiple cheque bounce cases, has gone viral on social media after his final statement before surrendering to authorities surfaced online.

Comedian Rajpal Yadav surrendered before the police as directed by the court. However, prior to his surrender, he recorded an official statement expressing his distress over the situation.

In the statement, Rajpal Yadav said: “What can I do? I don’t have the money and see no way out. We are all alone here, with no friends or supporters. I will have to face this hardship on my own.”

It is worth noting that the Delhi High Court had withdrawn the relief earlier granted to the actor in multiple cheque dishonour cases and directed him to surrender before the concerned jail superintendent by February 4. Rajpal Yadav complied with the court’s deadline and surrendered at Tihar Jail.

According to media reports, the actor’s lawyer had requested the court to grant additional time for payment and sought one week to arrange Rs5 million (50 lakh). However, the court rejected the plea.
