A star made of 50 thousand candles was created in Lisbon to raise money for charity.

A star made of more than 50 thousand candles was created in Lisbon on Saturday in aid of the charity Land of DreamsThe candles were sold on the square at one euro each with all the money aimed at fundraising for a charity that makes dreams come true for children and elderly people diagnosed with chronic diseases and advanced disease.The goal is to achieve money for an institution that take care of the dreams of the children that are in hospitals and our idea was to build the biggest lighting star in the world, said Ana Fernandes from Land of Dreams.The event was made possible with the contribution of dozens of volunteers that spent more than 4 hours lighting candles.Elizabete went to the square to share her solidarity with those organising events.I think it is a great incentive to everybody, not only for the children, the elderly but for everyone, she said.The organisation is hoping the event will now be recognised by the Guinness Book of Records.
