Mumbai: Bollywood stars launch music of The Dirty Picture'
Bollywood actors have launch music of film based on the life of a controversial actress.
Bollywood actors Vidya Balan, Tusshar Kapoor and Emran Hashmi release the music of their forthcoming film The Dirty Picture, a story based on the life of controversial south Indian actress Vijayalaxmi, popularly known as Silk Smitha, in Mumbai city.Bollywood actors Vidya Balan, Tusshar Kapoor and Emran Hashmi released the music of their forthcoming film The Dirty Picture in Mumbai city on Friday.The film is based on the life of a south Indian actress Vijayalaxmi, popularly known as Silk Smitha, and sex exploitation films of the 1980s era, especially in south Indian cinema.Balan, who is playing the character of Silk Smitha, acted in the film along with Tusshar Kapoor, Hashmi and Naseeruddin Shah.Balan who delivered a live performance at the event, is optimistic that the audience would appreciate the film and its music.Meanwhile, Tusshar Kapoor appreciated Balan for her performance in the movie. Speaking about his role in the movie, Kapoor said that his character in the film was a very colourful.The story of the film is based on the life of Vijayalaxmi, who entertained the people at large with her performances in various movies. However the controversial actress, who was considered as a sex symbol died in mysterious circumstances. Reports claim that she had committed suicide.The music of the film is composed by Vishal-Shekhar and Rajat Aroraa has written the lyrics.Directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, the film is slated to hit the screens on December 02, 2011, on the birth anniversary of Smitha.
