Bollywood sizzling actress Tabu is celebrating her 40th birthday today.

Best known for her marvelous performance in Bollywood film Machis in 1996, Tabu was born on November 4, 1991 in Hyderabad.She started her acting career as a child star in Hindi film Bazar. Her other most notable performances include Maachis Virasat (1997), Hu Tu Tu (1999), Astitva (2000), Chandni Bar (2001), Maqbool (2003) and Cheeni Kum (2007). Her leading role in Mira Nairs American film The Namesake also drew major praise.Tabu is niece of famous Indian actress Shabana Azmi and sister of film star Farha Naz.She is best known for acting in artistic, low-budget films that go on to garner more critical appreciation than substantial box office figures.Tabu won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice, and she holds the record for the most wins of Filmfare’s Critics Award for Best Female Performer, with four.
