Watson's last film, Little Women, was released in 2019. Since then, she has been focusing on other creative endeavors, such as directing, writing and producing commercials for fashion brands.
"When I was younger, I started getting confused that I have no voice, I can't say anything according to my thoughts," Watson said during the interview. "What I find most difficult is trying to sell something that I have no control over."
Watson began her career at the age of 11 with the first Harry Potter film. She admitted that she had no creative control over the franchise and found it frustrating.
"It was my decision and I should have done things better," Watson said. "I thought I would only be able to do technical work instead of having a creative mind and I thought I wouldn't be able to use my potential."
However, Watson's passion for directing was sparked when her brother asked her for a photoshoot. According to the actress, she will make a comeback on the big screen in the near future, although she did not disclose any specific projects.
